Abstract:
In this paper a brief review is presented on various separation techniques andmethods available for the separation of short --lived isotopes in both liquid andgaseous systems. The techniques available for wet chemistry system include bothauto--batchwise discontinuous and "SISAK". For gaseous chemistry system, use canbe made of on--line continuous technique. These techniques can be applied to theisolations and the studies of short--lived fission products, trans--heavy elements andunstable nuclei far from β--stability line.
