Abstract:
In this paper the productive principle, technolgy, quality control andperformance of the ~(192)Ir gamma radiography sources are described. The targetmaterials of the ~(192)Ir gamma radiograghy sources are made of metal iridiumpellets or wafer. The target materials are irradiated in high--flux reactor. The ~(192)Irwith high specific activity is produced by the ~(191)Ir (n,γ) ~(192)Ir reaction. Theirradiated targets are then processed in the hot cell and made into the ~(192)Ir gammaradiograghy sources. The sources fulfil the demanded quality requirements.
