Abstract:
~(125)I-labelled N-isopropyl-iodoamphetamine was synthesized and evaluated aspotential brain imaging agent. The synthesis of N-isopropyl-P-iodoamphetamineinvolves the following steps: acetylation, iodination, hydrolysis and alkylation. The ~(125)I-IMP labeled compound were prepared by adding Na~(125)I into the vialcontaining the ligand, Cu(II) nitrate and stannous chloride with greater than 95%radiochemical yield. The radiochemical purity of ~(125)I-IMP was checked by TLCwith two solvent systems and shown to be greater than 98%.
