Abstract:
The transverse damper of the alternating gradient synchrotron (AGS) can stabilize the transverseposition of the bunches in the AGS ring. An important part of the transverse damper is the timing gen-erator which provides a set of timing signals to control the acquisition and processing of the position er-ror information of bunches and the generation of the calibrating signals. A frequency tracing will beable to minimize the change of the time delay between the output of the system and the pickup signal.
