TIMING METHOD OF TRANSVERSE DAMPING SYSTEM FOR AGS

  • 摘要: 变梯度同步加速器横向阻尼器可以稳定加速环中束的横向位置。横向阻尼器的重要部分是定时发生器,它给出一组定时信号以控制束位置误差信号的获取、处理和校正信号的产生。定时信号的输出必须跟踪来自AGS环中拾取电极的拾取信号。频率跟踪将使定时信号和拾取信号之间的时间延迟的变化达到最小。

     

    Abstract: The transverse damper of the alternating gradient synchrotron (AGS) can stabilize the transverseposition of the bunches in the AGS ring. An important part of the transverse damper is the timing gen-erator which provides a set of timing signals to control the acquisition and processing of the position er-ror information of bunches and the generation of the calibrating signals. A frequency tracing will beable to minimize the change of the time delay between the output of the system and the pickup signal.
