Abstract: The general situations of the research developing artificial intelligence in the nuclear engi-neering are introduced, and we briefly discuss the expert systems and its developing directionwhich include the failure diagnosis, control and operation, maintenance, alarm and display, acci-dent management for the nuclear, reactor and the robot and so on.
