Abstract:
LaNi4.15Al0.85 is prepared by reducing the mixture of La, Ni and Al oxide with CaH2 in hydrogen atmosphere at high temperature. X-ray diffraction investigation proves that the bulk structure of LaNi4.15Al0.85 prepared by this method is the same as that by metallurgical method,XPS spectra shows that there is a layer of active nickel on the surface of LaNi4.15Al0.85 precursor.The hydrogen absorption capacity (0. 108 L/g ) and the desorption equilibrium pressure (6.0 ×104 Pa) at 11℃ are measured by investigation of the hydrogen-absorption properties of LaNi4.15Al0.85.
