Abstract:
The mass transfer efficiency of the 70 mm centrifugal extractor used in nuclear industry is studied experimentally. When the rotor speed is 3 000 r/min, and the flow ratio ranges over 1/3.0~3.0/1, and the total throughput changes 40~100 L/h, the extraction stage efficiency of HNO 3 is greater than 85 % for 30 % TRPO kerosene HNO 3 system. When the rotor speed is 1 500 r/min, and the flow ratio ranges over 1.3/1~4.1/1, and the total throughput changes 29.4~46.3 L/h, the mean stripping stage efficiency of Nd 3+ is greater than 87 % for Nd 3+ loaded in 30 % TRPO kerosene HNO 3 system.
