Abstract:
In the paper, the mechanical properties of U_3Si_2-Al fuel meats with different sizes which are used in research reactors are investigated and analyzed, at the same time the carrying capacity of tensile, bending and compress of this fuel meat in the fuel assembly during the operation are also investigated and analyzed. The experimental results indicate that the performance, such as tensility, carrying capacity of this fuel meat produced in China can meet the design needs of research reactors.
