Abstract: The research on the manufacturing process of UC and the UC-matrix hard alloy was carried out. Taking the UO2 as raw material the vacuum hot reduction technology was adopted to prepare the UC. Many additives were added into the UC-matrix, and the powder was prepared by the hall mill, wet pressing to form, sintering process and so on. The hardness is 90(HRA) and the density is 13. 2 g/cm3 for the end products.
