钚年龄评估技术

  • 摘要: 在军控核查技术中应用钚的年龄属性对核弹头认证和"禁产公约"监督具有非常重要的意义。根据241Pu的不同衰变模式,对母核和子核衰变伴随的γ辐射随时间的变化、各种情况下子核与母核的原子比随时间的变化规律等进行了描述。研究表明,通过某种手段获得241Pu和241Am的原子比或测量γ辐射可确定钚的年龄。

     

    Abstract: In verification technology for arms control, age attribution of the plutonium is of far reaching importance for verification of nuclear warheads and surveillance of "Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty". According to decay modes of 241Pu, the variation with time of the ratio both the gamma rays and the atoms from the disintergration of the parent and the daughter nucleus is described in the paper. The results show that age of the plutonium could be evaluated by acquiring the atomic ratio of 241Pu and 241Am or measuring ratio of the gamma rays from 241Pu, 241Am and 237U.
