Calculation of X-ray Attenuation and Energy Deposition

  • 摘要: 文章分析了X射线与物质相互作用的机制,根据EPDL光子截面数据库,在Visual Fortran编译环境下编制了一计算程序。该程序可计算质量衰减系数和质量吸收系数,也可计算X射线在不同材料内的辐射剂量分布。通过基准问题、MCNP计算结果等计算对比分析,验证了所编制程序的适用性。

     

    Abstract: The mechanics of hard X-ray interaction with materials were analysized in the paper. A program was composed under the Visual Fortran based on the EPDL cross section data.The attenuation and absorption coefficients for various target materials and various photon energy ranges can be obtained, and the energy deposition profile can also be calculated. Benchmark problem and some other calculation were compared to MCNP result. The result shows that the program is applicable in the radiation hardening study.
