Abstract:
Backscatter imaging with a detector array (i.e. array backscatter imaging) is a radiation imaging technology which has great development potential. Being quite different from the transmission imaging, data correction in array backscatter imaging is a very complicated problem, including data variance correction and system response curve adjustment. Based on the characteristic analysis of the array backscatter imaging system and the Monte-Carlo simulation experiments, a new way combining gain normalization and slope adjustment was introduced to correct the image data in the array backscatter imaging. By using this method, a good result was obtained for the simulation data correction.
