Abstract:
Based on the advanced modular high-temperature gas-cooled reactor (MHTGR) technology and the super-critical (SC) steam turbine cycle technology, the modes of MHTGR plant coupling with SC steam turbine cycle were investigated. By considering the features of MHTGR and SC steam turbine cycle, the patterns of steam cycle and the optimal cycle parameters were studied. The standard once-reheat SC steam turbine cycle was studied and corresponding parameters were calculated and compared. The present study can be as the theoretical basis for the prospective MHTGR SC steam cycle plant and provide supports for the further investigations and engineering design.
