Abstract:
Nanocrystalline intermetallic compound AlNi powder was synthesized by flow-levitation method. The morphologies, granularities and phase structures of particles were investigated by TEM and XRD techniques. The analysis results indicate that the powder is composed of single-phase intermetallic compound AlNi, and the grain size of the nanocrystalline intermetallic compound AlNi particulate is 10-40 nm. The measurements of the hydrogen storage properties for the AlNi powder were carried out, and the results show that the first hydrogen desorbing behaviour of AlNi is established at 3.43 MPa and 90-100 ℃, and the single phase nanocrystalline intermetallic compound AlNi has its maximum capacity about 7.3% at 200 ℃.
