Abstract:
According to requirement of design and safety assessment, it is necessary to carry on flow-induced vibration (FIV) and flow-distribution test on full scale core of China Advanced Research Reactor (CARR). Firstly, FIV comprehensive assessment program and flow-distribution scheme of CARR internals were made certainly. Secondly, 1∶1 model design, test contents, test methods, test results and conclusions were described in the paper. Some problems of structure design were found by test, and the design modification and optimization were completed. Results of test verify the final design of CARR internals and core, and the vibration response of internals are low and the safety factors against high cycle vibration fatigue are high. Therefore, CARR internals will be successfully submitted to safety assessment program.
