Abstract:
The response of photomultiplier tube to neutron irradiation at energy range of 0.75-15 MeV was measured using white neutron source produced by the
9Be(d, n)
10B reaction at HI-13 tandem accelerator in China Institute of Atomic Energy. Adopting the charge analog digital conversion technique and time-of-flight method, each pulse charge produced by a neutron was collected and recorded. Based on the mechanism of photomultiplier tube, the theoretical sensitivity to neutron irradiation was calculated by MCNP program and the calculated results agree with the experimental data.
