Abstract:
A new approach of calibration equation to calculate iron content in ore material was developed in energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) technique. The absorption and enhancement effect of titanium, vanadium, nickel, copper, zinc on iron were measured respectively by using EDXRF analysis instrument. The results show that the relationship between unitary coefficient (RFe) of Fe Kα X-ray count rate and content (WFe) are with a Hyperbola form. Finally, an exponential fitting method based on least-square regression was established to calibrate the work curve and correct the matrix effect. A relatively good result was obtained in three kind of iron ore material samples compared with traditional polynomial calibration method.
