Abstract:
According to the requirements of HLS upgraded, in order to achieve the non-intercepting measurement of beam position, emittance and energy spread of HLS injector, a new stripline beam position monitor (BPM) and eight electrodes beam energy spread monitor (BESM) were designed. The formula of x2-y2 and sensitivity of BPM and BESM were calculated. After the analysis of time domain and frequency domain, the impedance matching calculation, the physical parameters of two monitors were determined. After simulation by CST microwave studio program, the coupling coefficients between the electrodes were calculated. And the effect of electrode coupling on the sensitivity was analyzed too. Finally, the resolution of the stripline BPM was calculated, and the results met the design requirements.
