Abstract:
A 10 MeV high intensity cyclotron has been built and achieved advanced beam specifications in CIAE. It is the first compact cyclotron with several particular features developed independently by ourselves. A lot of technical problems have been solved during. the period of installing and beam testing. As a general test stand, it has been used to verify the basic design of the 100 MeV cyclotron under construction in CIAE, and also provides a useful platform for testing the key components of high intensity cyclotron. The success of this machine gives a solid support for production of compact cyclotron in China, and facilitates its application in area of nuclear medicine. This paper mainly introduces its test process, the key problems solved and the final results of beam tuning
