Abstract:
In order to investigate the sorption behavior of UO
22+ on Ca-calcareous soil, the batch technique was performed to study the effects of contact time, solid-to-liquid ratio, pH, and fulvic acid (FA) on the sorption of UO
22+. The results indicate that UO
22+ sorption on Ca-calcareous soil can achieve equilibrium in a very short time, and the sorption process accords with the pseudo-second-order kinetic model. The sorption process of UO
22+ on Ca-calcareous soil is an irreversible process; however the desorption is significantly enhanced when the concentration of FA increases to 10 mg/L.
