Peak Efficiency Calibration of HPGe Detectors for Volume Sources Based on Virtual Point Detector Model

摘要: 基于虚拟点探测器(VPD)模型应用平方反比定律,介绍了一种通过点源模拟实验进行HPGe探测器对圆柱体源样品的峰效率刻度方法。实验验证表明:在一定范围内利用该方法对圆柱体源进行效率刻度是合理可行的,并能获得较好的刻度结果,该方法可操作性强,可应用于工程实践。Abstract: The inverse square law was used to calculate the volume source absolute efficiency by point source experiment based on virtual point detector (VPD) model. It provided a methodology for the peak efficiency calibration of volume source for HPGe detector. With the experiments, the results show that in some conditions it’s a useful and feasible method of peak efficiency calibration for volume sources, and the method can be used in engineering-oriented practice.
