Abstract:
Since nuclear facilities have strong radioactivity, the process of dismantling nuclear facilities has some characteristics of high risk and complex procedure. The virtual simulation system of nuclear facilities decommissioning based on virtual reality technology can provide an aiding tool for decommissioning project. This paper analyzed the research results of native and abroad relative fields and the demand for one specific decommissioning project, then some functions of the virtual simulation system modules were proposed. Furthermore, a systematic framework structure based on software development technique was developed, and the corresponding technologies were analyzed and discussed. Combined with the latest research results of computer hardware and software technologies, the cutting, blasting, and the radioactive fluid simulation technique were discussed. The analysis results show that a comprehensive virtual simulation for decommissioning process can be achieved even on the common personal computer. The experts point out the framework has feasibility.
