Abstract:
With glucose as starting material, hydrocarbon sphere which was rich in oxygen containing functional groups was synthesized by hydrothermal carbonization process, and characterized by SEM and FTIR techniques. The results show that the size and dispersion of carbon spheres depend on many factors, including the concentration of glucose, the reaction temperature and the adulterated organic monomer. The obtained hydrocarbon spheres contain rich functional groups which can greatly improve the hydrophilicity and chemical reactivity.
