Abstract:
During development procedure of COSINE reactor physics sub-system, some advantageous methods and technologies are introduced to improve efficiency of program execution. Of which, hierarchical data format (HDF) has been adopted, because it allows codes to easily share data across a wide variety of computational platforms using applications written in different programming languages. The reason that HDF optimizes execution efficiency of restart module and lattice-core interface module in reactor physics codes was analyzed in this paper. As well, it is clarified that HDF matches the characteristics of process data storage. Concurrently, the preliminary comparison of the execution efficiency before and after HDF adoption was given in the paper, which fully proves previous qualitative conclusions.
