Abstract:
The linear upper limit and repeatability of thermoluminescence dosimeter (TLD) LiF(Mg,Ti)-M produced in China was studied by using 60 Co. The results indicate that the linear upper limit of the LiF(Mg,Ti)-M is in 150-200 Gy. Beyond the linear upper limit, the sensitivity decreases, and the sensitivity increases when it was used again after being annealed. The results also indicate that the uniformity of a group of TLDs can remain even if their absorbed dose is beyond the upper limit. Based on this feature, the way of using TLDs in batch mode was proposed to measure the absorbed dose beyond the upper limit, by which the measurement accuracy can be improved.
