Abstract:
The conservative analytical model was established for main steamline break (MSLB) accident of AP1000 nuclear power plant. According to the alternative source term (AST) method addressed in RG 1.183, the total effective dose equivalent (TEDE) was calculated for two cases of pre-accident iodine spike and accident-initiated iodine spike, and the influence of power level, steam generator water inventory and partition coefficient on the results was evaluated as well. The results show that the TEDE values for limiting case are within the acceptable dose limits of RG 1.183 and GB 6249—2011.
