Abstract:
The scintillator detector used to measure the total fission numbers of burst reactors was designed by the method of waveform integral. The scintillator detector has the characteristics of high linear currents and wide measurement ranges. Because of shunt circuit design in signal output, the detector can measure the peak and the plateau of bursts at the same time despite of the marked difference in fission rates between them. The results of this method are according with those of other methods. It is superior in measuring low yield bursts.
