Abstract:
For the application in the charged particle diagnostics on the SG serial laser facilities, the energy responses of CR39 detector with 0.7-10 MeV protons and α particle were investigated by the accelerator proton source and
241Am radioactive isotope source, respectively. An etching kinetic simulation code was developed based on the TRIM code and semi-empirical model. The characterizations of the energy responses and track shapes of p, D, T and α particles were simulated under the perpendicular incident and oblique incident conditions. Some schemes were proposed to optimize the CR39 detector unit for some application in ICF charged particle spectrometers.
