Abstract:
The one-dimension stress compression model was built through the research on compression in drum for radioactive solid waste. The compression process was optimized by taking advantage of that model, and filling process of radioactive solid waste was guided. The test results show that big differences exist in total volume of filling and efficiency of filling after pre-compression for different models. Comparing the best model with the worst model, the volume of filling can double and the efficiency of filling increases 20%-30%. The volume reduction ratio increases 10% and times of waste filling obviously decreases guided by compression strategy compared with random filling. It can well meet the requirements of waste minimization and future operation.
