中国实验快堆生产同位素60Co的优化设计研究

Optimization Design Research for 60Co Production in CEFR

  • 摘要: 中国实验快堆(CEFR)是我国建设的第一座金属钠冷却快中子反应堆,其特点是比功率高、中子注量率高。由于CEFR能谱硬、中子泄漏多,本工作对利用这部分泄漏中子在快堆反射层生产60Co同位素进行了可行性研究,并通过引入慢化剂设计适合的几何结构、选择合理的辐照位置和辐照时间等一系列措施对同位素生产进行优化,以提高60Co比活度。优化中采用MCNP和ORIGEN2程序作为计算软件。计算结果表明,通过优化设计,60Co比活度有显著提高,说明利用快堆反射层的泄漏中子生产60Co是可行的。

     

    Abstract: As the first sodium coolant fast reactor in China, CEFR has the characteristics such as high power rating, high neutron flux and high neutron leakage as its hard spectrum. These leakage neutrons can be used to produce radioisotope 60Co in reflecting layer region by means of some special optimization designs, including introducing moderator, choosing appropriately geometrical structure design, reasonable irradiation location and irradiation cycle length, to improve specific activity of 60Co. The codes MCNP and ORIGEN2 were used to perform the calculations. The higher specific activity of 60Co can be obtained by these optimization designs, so it is feasible to produce 60Co utilizing these leakage neutrons in reflecting layer region of CEFR.
