Abstract:
Manually modeling for FLUKA would spend lots of time and error prone. In order to improve the modeling efficiency for FLUKA users, European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) developed the Monte Carlo auxiliary modeling software SimpleGEO, but it can not deal with the CAD model and complex geometry. For the modeling problems of FLUKA, FDS Team developed FLUKA modeling module based on multi-physics coupling analysis modeling program (SuperMC/MCAM). In this paper, the modeling capabilities of SuperMC/MCAM and SimpleGEO were compared on several benchmarks including ex7, Neutron-Maze, FDS-Ⅱ and ITER benchmark models. The contents cover volume, vacuum-flux and particle transport with physical parameters. The comparison results show that SuperMC/MCAM can deal with more complex geometry models of FLUKA and have extra ability to convert the CAD models than SimpleGEO, which are SuperMC/MCAM’s advantages in FLUKA modeling.
