Abstract:
The purpose is to research how the solid state amplifier (SSA) matches the requirement of accelerator, and how to promote the technology of SSA which can be used for accelerator much better. The methods of theoretical analysis and experimental verification were used to research how the SSA achieved high power and anti-load mismatch by power combining, high efficiency cooling and fast protection. The results prove that the SSA can be used for accelerator and the SSA is better than other amplifiers in some ways. Furthermore, more test data and experience were obtained through power experiment in CW and pulse. These data and experience are useful for designing and debugging all solid power amplifier.
