Abstract:
The radiochromic film dosimeter was prepared using nylon as substrate and pararosaniline cyanide as dye in this paper. In
60Co γ-ray and 10 MeV electron beam reference radiation fields, dosimetry response performance of the radiochromic film was studied. The results show that the dosimeter has the response curve of good linearity in the dose range of 1-210 kGy, and no distinct dependence on energy and dose rate in the experiment. The repeatability of the radiochromic film dosimeter is better than 1.0%. The signal of radiochromic film dosimeter after irradiation is stable under the condition of low temperature storage within 2 weeks. In the dose range of 1-210 kGy, the extensive uncertainty of the radiochromic film dosimeter is 4.4% (
k=2) for
60Co γ-ray irradiation and 6.2% (
k=2) for electron beam irradiation. In addition, this dosimetry system was used to measure depth-dose distribution curve for 10 MeV electron beam, which shows it’s suitable and practicable for electron beam irradiation.
