Abstract:
The residual heat removal system (RHRS) of high temperature gas-cooled reactor plays a passive cooling role and it is one of the components of primary cavity cooling system. A three-dimensional model of the RHRS of the 10 MW High Temperature Gas-cooled Reactor (HTR-10) was built to simulate the working situation of the RHRS. The RHRS experiment on HTR-10 was conducted and the working data of the system were obtained under 3 MW maximum thermal power. The simulation results were compared with the experiment data and deviations were found. Two possible methods which are improving the model design and the model adaptability on different RHRS working conditions are proposed to refine the model.
