Abstract:
In order to acquire exact thermal neutron scattering data in nuclear engineering applications and realize autonomy of the domestic software for nuclear power design in China, a thermal neutron scattering data processing code TSC was developed in FORTRAN90 format. TSC was mainly based on the theory of neutron thermalization and a compound integral method. Module programming techniques and independent I/O design were adopted to improve the maintainability and scalability of TSC. TSC was used to process different existing evaluated nuclear data, and then the results were compared with those from the similar code THERMR. The comparison results show that the processing results from TSC are in good agreement with those from THERMR, so TSC is reliable.
