Interlock System for Soft X-ray Free-electron Laser in Shanghai

  • 摘要: 为快速准确地对加速器关键设备提供有效保护,避免关键部件损坏,上海软X射线自由电子激光装置需搭建一套可靠的联锁保护系统。该联锁系统使用分布式架构,并采用可编程逻辑控制器(PLC)和实验物理与工业控制系统(EPICS)进行设计。为满足加速器不同的调试和运行需求,使用Master主站+本地子站的设计策略,最终设计并实现了运行模式管理和切换的功能。系统的所有功能已在设备运行中得到了检验,有效保证了加速器的安全运行。

     

    Abstract: In order to protect the key devices rapidly and effectively from unexpected damage, a reliable interlock system was required and developed for soft X-ray free electron laser (SXFEL) in Shanghai. The distributed interlock system was designed by programmable logic controller (PLC) and experimental physics and industrial control system (EPICS). The functions of management and switch among several modes were employed in the interlock system by the design way of Master station plus local sub stations mode, so as to meet different demands of commissioning and running of the accelerator. All the functions of the interlock system were verified in the operation. The interlock system can ensure the accelerator work safely.
