Abstract:
The gamma ray monitor (GRM) calibration detector (GCD) on board GRM is used to adjust the gain of main detector in orbit, which is of great significance for the study of detection performance of GRM. The principle design of each electronic part, the high and low temperature experimental verification and result analysis for bias compensating circuit, the production process and the embedment design of inlaid radioactive source were described in detail. Problems occurring in the design were verified and improved. The experiment and test results show that GCD’s function is correct, and the detection efficiency, peak position drift and other performance indicators of GCD meet the requirement of GRM mission, which indicates that the design can guarantee the reliable realization of GCD’s functions in orbit.
