Abstract:
Since the 1930s, the number of the particle accelerators in operation has been more than 30 000 in the world, including about 200 large particle accelerators used in scientific research. Harmful ionizing radiation would be produced during running. In order to guarantee personal radiation safety for staff in interlocking control area and avoid irradiation accident, the personal safety interlock system (PSIS) should be established. By using full hardware and modularization design idea and based on PLC, displacement mechanical interlocking key, self-developed emergency stop and patrol device, camera and a series of hardware, the PSIS developed for miniature particle accelerator runs stably and reliably in the Accelerator Driven Sub-critical System (ADS) injector Ⅰ and the Linear Electron Accelerator Test Beam Facility at IHEP, and can be extended to industrial irradiation facility.
