Abstract:
Based on the neutronics integral experimental facility at China Institute of Atomic Energy, the neutron leakage spectra from iron samples and tungsten samples of different sizes were measured by timeofflight technique using DT neutron source. The leakage neutron spectra were simulated by Monte Carlo transport code MCNP4C, using the data from the CENDL3.2 and CENDL3.1 evaluated nuclear data libraries. By comparing the theoretical results with the experimental results, the improvement and deficiency of Fe and W data from the CENDL3.2 library were analyzed. According to the comparison results, some results were got. As for the evaluation nuclear data of Fe, the calculation results of the CENDL3.2 library agree well with the measured data in the elastic scattering energy region, the continuous inelastic scattering region and the discrete inelastic scattering region, which are better than the calculation results of the CENDL3.1 library. As for the evaluation nuclear data of W, the calculation results of the CENDL3.2 library agree well with the measured data in the inelastic scattering region, which are better than the calculation results of the CENDL3.1 library. However, the calculation results of the CENDL3.2 library are higher than the measured results in the elastic scattering energy region. Besides, the calculation results of the CENDL3.2 library are lower than the measured results in the (n, 2n) reaction. The CENDL3.2 evaluated nuclear data of W nucleus should be further improved.
