Abstract:
The fuel performance analysis code FUPAC V2.0 was developed for the lack of capability of fuel performance analysis on N36 zirconium alloy cladding in CF3 fuel assembly. Physical properties, corrosion behaviors and irradiation growth of N36 zirconium alloy were studied and preliminarily modeled based on out-pile and poolside inspection data. Furthermore, FUPAC V1.1 was updated to FUPAC V2.0 by coupled with N36 zirconium alloy cladding analysis modules. Validation results show that N36 zirconium alloy models are in good agreement with experimental data and the capability of analyzing N36 zirconium alloy cladding fuel rod performance by FUPAC V2.0 is realized.
